Section/Senior Engineer and/or Design Coordinator
Open to freelance Section/Senior Engineer or Design Coordinator roles. Experience in both the Building and Infrastructure sectors.
Traditional Site Engineer (setting out) background means I have a good grounding in Civil Engineering, use of Leica equipment/software and how setting out information works.
This in conjunction with the skill set I have developed over the years includes: excellent ability in Autodesk Civils 3D, temporary works design & procedures, value engineering, excellent knowledge of the Highways Specification & HCDs, working knowledge of the DMRB and recent digital migration, evaluating & querying designs (build-ability), experience with NEC contracts (Option C especially) & a strong technical grounding (1st class degree – University of Liverpool).
In addition to my ability to perform both a Section/Senior Engineer role or Design Coordinator position, I can also add value to clients with the additional skills listed:
-Excellent ability with LEICA captivate, creating chainage setting out models, use of & understanding of the roads setting out apps & ability to create automated surface surveys (top of asphalt/concrete).
-Ability to create, check & issue roads/earthworks models for the purpose of machine control or general DTM models to improve productivity and eliminate mistakes on site.
-Ability to create heat map as-built surveys, cut & fill volume reports, contour surveys & rain water collection models.
-Working knowledge in AutoDesk recap and handling point cloud data.
