Reporting directly to the Principal Construction Advisor of Quadrant Construction (construction arm to L&Q Group). As a senior advisor I am responsible for driving L&Q’s policies and procedures forward to the project teams, bringing new initiatives to the table to make sure L&Q are leaders in H&S best practice. As a team we are responsible for the creation, development and presentation of regular training sessions across the company to ensure compliance. I contribute to the team's achievement of its objectives, whilst operating in line with the L&Q values and delivering excellent customer service. I attend H&S meetings for the regions and site visits, in accordance with procedures. Attendance L&Q Group H&S meetings and reviews as required. I maintain industry learning keeping up to date with H&S matters that may impact on the business, ensuring this is rolled out to all staff with suitable training. Drive best practise and consider innovative solutions to keep the division at the forefront of Health and Safety in all aspects of construction productivity. Manage the interface on all aspects of accident reporting, both internally and with subcontractors or HSE as necessary, taking consultant advice as required. Ensure clearance of Health and Safety questionnaires for subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining an up to date register. Support the site Managers as required on all aspects of H&S on site. Working as a head of department managing a team of 5, a senior managerial role reporting directly to the Managing Director and support to all project managers and sub-contractors. Working directly for Westfield as Principal Contractor on numerous CAT A/B refurbishments and high end fit outs. Duties include on-site safety presence and 2 weekly comprehensive safety audits. Review and co-ordination of documentation in circulation including the review and approval of risk and method statements.
